Boat Market
The Boat Market: A New Magnetic Field for Cultural Tourism
Drawing on the dynamic momentum of "hundreds of vessels ready to set sail," we have constructed a waterfront commercial cluster named "The Boat Market" (Chuan Shi), creating a settlement that appears to float along the riverbank.
Pure white eaves simulate the undulating rhythm of sails, solidifying the bustling memories of the ancient ferry crossing into a modern architectural fabric. The introverted central water body is not merely a landscape feature, but a waterfront theater shared by hosts and guests alike—offering a refined, participatory, and immersive experience.
Acting as a hub for river cruises, it connects the regional cultural tourism landscape via waterways. This is more than a mere docking point; it represents a localized lifestyle that softens commercial boundaries. Amidst the interplay of light and ripples, it revitalizes the daily vibrancy and economic energy of the Western Zhejiang waterfront.
