Won the highest honor at the AIA International Awards
The 2025 AIA International Design Awards were held at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel in Sri Lanka on October 11th, honoring the winners. GN Architects received two awards: the HONOR AWARD for Architecture, the highest honor in the awards' architecture category, and the Inclusive Design Excellence Award for Architecture (IDEA).

AIA International is the most geographically diverse chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Its AIA International Design Awards accept submissions from AIA International members located anywhere in the continental United States. The awards program celebrates outstanding practice, innovative thinking, and design excellence worldwide, highlighting projects that advance health, inclusion, and stewardship for humanity and the planet.

The 2025 AIA International Design Awards are presented in five categories: Architecture, Interiors, Unbuilt Projects, Urban Design, and Firms. In addition to the Company Award, each category will present three levels of honor: Honor Awards, Merit Awards, and Commendation Awards. Furthermore, two special honors will be selected from the winning projects in these categories: the Sustainable Futures Award (SFA) and the Inclusive Design Excellence Award (IDEA). These awards recognize sustainable designs that improve human health, energy efficiency, and resource management, as well as designs that demonstrate strong accessibility, universality, and inclusiveness.
