The House of Future
FlexiCourts
"FlexiCourts" is a courtyard-based residential prototype designed for the UAE's dense urban living, blending regional spatial traditions with passive climate strategies. The design emphasizes spatial flexibility through modular room layouts, dual circulation paths, and layered courtyard sequences. Local materials such as masonry blocks, shading screens, and wind towers, combined with green roofs and solar panels, regulate temperature and reduce energy consumption. The project received the 2025 UAE Future Home Award from the UAE government.
