Mr. Shen Lijiang, Founder and Managing Partner of GN Architects, was selected into the RIBA China Architect 100

On March 30, the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) announced the results of the 2020-2022 China Architect 100 selection. Mr. Shen Lijiang, founder and managing partner of GN Architects, was selected.

As an international and long-established association of architects, RIBA was founded in 1834 and was given the title of British Royal. It is one of the most authoritative and well-known architect associations in the world. Its 188-year history has witnessed the development of world architectural art, culture and skills.

Since its establishment, RIBA has been serving the world's construction industry and promoting its healthy development. China Architect 100 is RIBA’s most important project since it officially entered China in 2019.

In the past two years, RIBA has observed and interpreted as an object. Based on the strategic values of "inclusiveness, ethics, environmental protection and collaboration", RIBA has discovered 100 Chinese architects with international development potential from a diversified and international perspective. The list of China Architect 100 selected this time covers famous Chinese architects from different eras, different categories, and different representative meanings. It also presents architectural design practices of different types, different volumes, and different goals.

As an architect, Shen Lijiang pays attention to the contemporary, social and media significance of design, and has been committed to practicing and promoting the development of domestic elderly care, health and humanistic design. GN Architects, founded by him, is also a leader in this field in China.

As a general designer, Shen Lijiang took five years to produce the feature film THE FAMILY, which won awards at many international film festivals such as Venice, Lisbon, and Slamdance. He is also the first architect in China to win this honor.
