2025 Dezeen Design Awards Announced: Qicheng's "Chai Shan Island Seaside Long Pavilion" Wins the Only Grand Award in the Small-Scale Project Category of Architect
On the afternoon of October 21, the 2025 Dezeen Design Awards Awards Ceremony & Party was held at Kimpton Qiantan Hotel Shanghai. The final awards across 23 categories, including architecture, interior design, and product design, were announced one by one. The "Chai Shan Island Seaside Long Pavilion" designed by GN Qicheng stood out in the "Small-Scale Project Category of Architecture" at this year’s Dezeen Design Awards and finally won the award.
Dezeen Design Awards is a regional award hosted by Dezeen, the world's most influential architecture and design media outlet. It is also the only regional award globally established under Dezeen Awards, aiming to recognize the most outstanding architecture, interior, and design projects from China.
As one of the high-prestige honors in the international design industry, its jury system inherits Dezeen’s consistent rigorous standards. Starting from aesthetics and innovation, it focuses on the positive impact of design on society, culture, and the environment, while emphasizing sustainability and humanistic care. Winning the award not only means the outstanding quality of the design work has gained international recognition, but also reflects the profound influence of the project in terms of social value and contemporary significance.
Earlier, Dezeen Design Awards announced 124 shortlisted projects across 23 categories, covering various disciplines such as architecture, landscape, interior, and product design. At last night’s awards party, the final (and only) winners of each category were officially announced, and certificates and trophies were presented.
